Education & Clinical Training
After earning a bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences from Quinnipiac University in 2019, she worked for Yale New Haven Hospital as a radiologic technologist primarily in the operating room and emergency room. Arissa then pursued a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Quinnipiac University Magna Cum Laude in 2023. Her medical education provided a solid foundation in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and patient care, which she has continued to build upon through specialized training in facial plastic surgery and injectable treatments. During training, Arissa completed a rigorous clinical rotation in facial plastic surgery with Dr. Johnny Mao, where a growing interest in the field led to a specialization in cosmetic procedures.

As a Physician Assistant in Plastic Surgery, Arissa works alongside and in collaboration with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Johnny Mao to assist in preoperative planning, surgeries, and postoperative care. With advanced training in injectables such as Botox or neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and other non-invasive procedures, Arissa helps patients achieve their aesthetic goals while ensuring their safety and comfort. Whether performing procedures in the office or assisting in the operating room, Arissa remains dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.
